Tugas 2

It was the letter that changed my whole life. My plan after graduated from senior high school was study abroad to Germany. But, unfortunately after 2 years my visa never came up. So my sister decided to enroll me in Gunadarma University. I really don’t care about college since I couldn’t go to Germany until someday I met my classmates. I never talked to her or texted her but suddenly she came up and sat next to me until the end of the class. We talked a lot but she mostly talked rather than me because I’m a shy boy when it comes new people. She told me a lot of herself and like a magic I found myself told her about me. She made me attracted to her even more so I decided to texted her until I asked her to be my girlfriend. Since then, I changed my visions about college, I always come to class right in time. She changed me so I can be more diligent and aware about the future because I want to have a future with her. I want someone that can change me into a better person always be by my side until whenever.

Tugas 1 - Introduction

My name is Mohammad Rayhan Taqy, I was born 22 years ago on January 26. I’m the eldest and I have two little sister. I like blue, hotwheels, basketball, and musics.

My goals are to be an entrepreneur and have a school music not just for the one with money but also for the one with talent but no money to go to the music school.

Sometimes, I don’t think I have a high self-confidence. I hate liars and can’t deal if I find out one around me and quite emotional when having a bad mood.

Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities. The test is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions. TOEFL is one of the two major English-language tests in the world, the other being the IELTS. TOEFL is a trademark of the Educational Testing Service (ETS), a private non-profit organization, which designs and administers the tests. ETS issues official score reports, sent independently to institutions, for two years following the test.

The Functions of TOEFL

• ·       Entrance or graduation requirements at the level of institutions of higher education in Indonesia.             
• ·         Placement test and evaluation test in language institutions .
• ·         Requirements for a list of scholarship programs such as : Australian Development Scholarships, StuNed, DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), ACHIEVEMENT, Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Program and programs of government agencies such as the Ministry of Communication and Information .
• ·         Part of the program of education, training and career development of government institutions such as Depantemen Overseas Education and Training Center , Bappenas, BKPM , the Ministry of Commerce and Bank Indonesia.

Experience with TOEFL

            I never take TOEFL test for my entire life so I don’t think I know what is the hardest for me on the test. But, for my english skill I always doubt in the writing and listening section because I’m lacking in vocabulary and hard to catch someone’s words when they speak in english.

The Reading and Listening test — Step 1 is intended for students in the earlier stages of English learning and covers:

• Familiar contexts (school, home, playground)
• Basic formulaic expressions
• Basic vocabulary and phrases related to common objects and people
• Short and simple requests and directions
• Short and simple text relevant to everyday experiences
